ANCHORAGE TO CONCRETE

 

SPEAKER: Ms. Suzanna Rea, PE Hilti Field Engineer

 

Speaker’s Biography: Ms. Suzanna Rea, PE has more than 10 years of engineering experience and has worked in the post-installed anchoring industry for 5 years. She is a registered engineer in North Carolina and Florida. Ms. Rea has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Georgia Tech.

 

Topic Description: The speaker will review building code requirements relating to post-installed and cast-in-place anchors including a discussion of ACI 318 Appendix D and ICC-ES Acceptance Criteria: AC193 for Mechanical Anchors and AC308 for Adhesive Anchors. The emphasis will be on Adhesive Anchoring Systems and demonstrating how the AC308 design provisions work in conjunction with ACI 318 Appendix D.
